3508, a former UP SD40-2 sits silently beside the K&O district, the unit will be fired up in the morning for use on train T12 out of Clinton, TN

With the number of SD70's on the active NS roster dwindling by the day it was a nice treat to see one leading NS T12 as it worked it's way east down the K&O with a short train for Clinton Yard.

T12 rolls downgrade off of Copper Ridge on its return to Sevier Yard with the last ex-Southern Railway high hood SD40-2 I would ever shoot leading the way.

Steam comes off the fresh wood chips in the hoppers, as T12 sits at East Siding, preparing to head south back to Sevier Yard.

The fog was so thick, I almost wished that I had a knife... NS T12 is moving to couple onto the last few cars of it's consist before heading south toward Sevier Yard. 27V is passing on the Main.
